It's surprisingly mute/unshinny as most parts of the watch is not polished. Glad to pick it up.

This is a fantastic alt watch to the traditional subs and DJs but the size is a put off for most. Unless you have a large wrist this is a no go for most. The earlier version in 40mm is much more palatable. If you can sport the size and readily available at the AD this is a great watch.

Agree with the comments. The Polar is a great choice and also extremely legible - sometimes an overlooked feature.

That’s a tough one to answer because I think it varies from wrist to wrist and which variation of the sub you’re talking about. The newest polar is ever so slightly bigger than the 12 series sub to me. It wears very similar though. I’d say the polar sits a little more flush with the flatter case back. It feels thinner even thought it’s a little thicker on paper. I think it might be a tad heavier than the sub as well. Just more of an overall wrist presence over all but nothing compared to say a SD43

Nothing in it for me. Neither is uncomfortable 95 per cent of the time but they are fairly big chicks of steel. Getting the polar fitted properly is key. Less so with sub because of glidelock. Neither as comfortable as a gmt on jubilee but not a lot in it at all.
Just add the caveat that as long as your wrist is the right size for it.

Polar way more legible though. Probably most legible watch they make.

Waiting for over a year to get one, inquired four AD's in my state. I don't even know what to say, it's ridiculous. Would that mean all of them are sketchy, feeding grey market with their allocations?
