servicing my first rolex, a1984 gmt master 16753 ......a bit complicated....
hi, first of all, i know i should have kept it original, but the rootbeer bezel and dial had faded so bad, i had an ad in vancouver replace the bezel and dial around 1999...in about 2011 i sent the bracelet off to a guy in hong kong to overhaul it, did a great job, michael something.... anyway its a ttoned jubilee and i havent serviced the watch in a long time, still runs well but its overdue.
questions: do i take it to the local ad and send to rolex through them? Do i send to rolex canada directly? In a perfect world id like to restore it to its original rootbeer status but can that be done? Do i get the replaced parts back (doubtful?) Do i have them polish it (i know the patina but if new parts wthell) What about the band? its a bit loose (like everything else :) ) Sorry for not being up to speed on this but really appreciate any advice. thanks tom |

If you’re sending to RSC remove the band and bezel insert. If you’re hell bent on getting new ones and keeping the old it’s going to cost you.
I presume you’d take to your AD to send to Rolex. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
