Also the color of the dial optically can make the watch wear slightly smaller/bigger. Try it with an extra link and report back, curious to your thoughts. Would love to get my hands on that platinum 38mm chrono.

I think the 38mm models don't really come standard to fit more than a 7" wrist. So if your wrist is that size or more, you'll likely have to have your AD order and extra link or two assuming you like how it wears. 39mm is a sweet spot, but 38mm works great now that my wrist size is back down to 6.5"

Thanks for that valuable input. Most of my collection sit in the 39-42mm size range but in the last year the larger 43/44mm, and larger, ones have a) not been worn much at all and/or b) now sold on as I just don't wear them anymore. Appreciate the point that size isn't everything too And to be fair earlier this year I tried on the following 38mm ROC 26715OR and even in my poor picture (below) I think it looks "ok" on me/my wrist; And you are so right about the dial, it's colouring and style that will impact how any watch wears on the individuals wrist. And also how the photographs of the watch in question vs. in the flesh is so true as well. When I am next at APH I am going to request a few more 38mm watches to try on and see if they work for me as it would open up a lot more options and, maybe, help allocation wise too.......... Thanks again. |
