New PP’s prediction 2025 thread

Hey Connoisseurs,

As the current year winds down and 2025 approaches, I’m curious to hear what you think (or hope) Patek has planned for us! Besides the rumors about new sizes and variations for the Cubitus (I’ve heard they’ll be dropping around March/April), I’m thinking Patek will keep moving the Nautilus and Aquanaut sports line towards precious metals, with fewer stainless steel options available.

I’ve heard rumors PP might also release a few more dress watches with colorful diamond settings (I guess Salanitro wasn’t bought for nothing right?)

As for anniversaries - there aren’t any major milestones this year (as far as I know).

BUT on another note, with MSRP climbing, it seems like more models are available for immediate purchase (in some places)—but they’re not flying off the shelves as quickly as before and also Discussions and threads about discounts seem to be popping up more and more recently.

What do you guys think? Any insider tips or wild guesses? Please do share and wishing everyone a fantastic, healthy, and successful year ahead! #excited

I don’t know anything other than the Nautilus was released in 1976. That would make 2026 the 50th anniversary so I’m sure they are making big plans for 2026.

Cubitus needs a downsizing but it’s hard to imagine they will admit their mistake and do it so quickly in 2025.

Without rehashing the entire Cubitus brouhaha, I think the biggest mistake is the large size. I think the Cubitus line will continue but at more real world sizes.

Just tried on cubitus for first time w few years ago- despite pics on line, I think the size is correct for what it is. I have a [emoji[emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]]]].[emoji[emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]]]]][emoji[emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]]]] inch wrist and fits great. I still think it’s not a flattering watch at all but that’s just my opinion. I think it is [emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]% likely they will make a smaller cubitus in the future but geared toward women as they did w the nautilus and aquanaut. I don’t think they will go any smaller on the “men’s” cubitus.

Was basically saying I think PP made a good choice on the size - I say this only after trying it on a few days ago for first time. While I think in future they will make a smaller one, or will be geared towards women- same path as the nautilus and aquanaut. I still really dislike the cubitus personally but at least they sized it ok (my wrist is 6.75 inch)

Here’s what I want.. Next allocation is 5740 but I am really hoping for a different configuration than wg/ blue. I’m thinking of holding off for this, and it could be a while bc I’ve heard nothing about this happening. What do you guys think? Do you think they will change it up?

I would like to see a re-do on the 5320. Come out with a model without the syringe hands and all the lume. Maybe sticks with dauphine hands for a toned-down model evoking Patek tradition and DNA.

Rainbow gemset Cubitus with matching cuff links and a broach as a his and her set with Mr. Stern’s signature engraved on the back.

Both photos look great. I am sure all Cubitus models are selling well. Every owner says the fit, feel and comfort is superb. Another home run for the brand.

Tiffany color dial Cube

Smaller 38.5mm Cube series (using same round movements)

Plus 20 other Pateks Thierry designed. These other 20 are truly amazing, as it brings in the long-awaited new Patek Philippe Conneseur Series. Timepieces featuring movements with multiple bridges, some skeletonized a bit too! Not Simon Brette quality, but slowly getting there. Just wait until you see the new PP's double-hairspring ultra-high precision movement that is COSC rated. Comes with the additional certification papers as standard of course. Very impressive!

Also, 2025 will finally bring in an exciting new true PP sports series featuring METAS certification. Thierry kinda hinted at METAS in a round-about way via mentioning Tudor earlier in 2024, and now Patek Philippe becomes the third retail watch brand (OMEGA and Tudor) to regularly feature METAS certification of their sports timepieces as proof of quality, durability, and accuracy.

Bravo Thierry, 2025 looks to be a very exciting and faster progress forward year for PP.

Personally, I would like to see a watch that combines a perpetual calendar and a moonphase, with a unique design.

Probably less steel sports watches as it's been the case with the 5711 and 5164 replaced by white gold

A Tiffany dial color on a Cubitus!! Jk..

A smaller size is available in the Ellipse collection and more of moonphase only models like the 7121 without the diamonds bezel

What if they did the same to the 5167 as they did to the 5711? Retire stainless steel and only offer precious metal at 2x the cost ...

Would love a no date version though, or something closer to the 5269 (with a better movement, obviously)

Icon14 Not a prediction but merely a wish

Would appreciate if Patek Philippe released some basic men's 37-38 mm Calatrava and/or Gondolo (5124G-ish) in sub $20k price range

Handwind ladies with diamonds bezel and a ladies-oriented decorated square movement would be great. Use diamonds / enamel as movement decoration. PP should extend the highly profitable jewelry genre for his / hers matching sets. Wife and i had matching Aquas a decade or so ago. Add upscale bling and enamel, hopefully by Wellendorff because their cold enamel work is legendary imho.

He is right to offer options that cater for an every wider range of people and wrist sizes! Not every watch has to appeal to every existing client.
