Terrible experience at CH Premier Jewelers in Nor Cal

This authorized dealer is awful.

Spent hundreds of thousands of dollars with the company and picking the right models at the right time to only have the company resent me for winning and not playing their extortion games to buy Chanel jewelry.

They even went as far as to assassinate my character with falsehoods to Patek New York. They also unethically passed around my data and personal info without my consent.

This company will hold your deposit HOSTAGE if you agree on a piece with their false promises of allocations. Then they will say “buy 50-100k” of jewelry to help “expedite your order” otherwise there is no telling when we will get your watches that we agreed on and took deposits for.

Absolute shameful and unethical tactics. Beware of Jenny Fu and Stephanie as they have no principals and do not keep their word.

Much better AD’s out there to choose from, these people won’t even give you the time of day after you call them out on attempted extortions. Cheapens the brand frankly, Patek should pull out from them.

I used to be a frequent customer of their Los Angeles store (Chong Hing) in Rowland Heights before they lost their Patek license. The family (Valerie and Stephanie sisters and their spouses) are known for bundling other brands and jewelry with their Patek pieces. It was ok when the sports pieces traded around retail but got really bad during 2019-2022 which is when I severed ties with them after 10 years of purchase history.

I would avoid if at all possible.

I’m not surprised to hear about your experience. Stephanie and Jenny are the worst. Absolute trash service and experience and they are so desperate to increase short term revenue for their store at the expense of the Patek brand and reputation.

They are like the worst kind of used car salesman’s but will go a step further with immoral and unethical practices. They also search you as much as they can making assumptions on your race, neighborhood, home values etc… there is an alarming and unethical pattern of behavior from this company and it’s beneath the Patek brand.

I am about 5 hours too late to share this, and I do not mean to marginalize your ire at the games some ADs play, but libel can prove costly if the named AD and the owners and the SAs are so inclined to act in court.

Many of the actions are reprehensible, and I hate to say it, but they have grown to be AD common fare.

Agree. Statements of fact are very helpful, especially if they can be backed up by written statements or contracts, but personal comments about the character or actions of individuals or dealers are fodder for a libel suite with unpredictable outcomes.

Dont know CH premier, but based on what your saying looks like they want to milk the Patek license they have in Nor Cal before losing it.

Sad to hear, but the Patek AD market is very tough with so many wealthy people chasing the rare sports models. This dynamic is everywhere you go and makes it very tough for ADs to come across as fair to everyone. I would love to hear the AD's version of what, if anything, was said to Patek NY out of curiosity.

Here’s a statement of fact. Here’s a nice solid yellow gold Panerai pocket watch I was offered to continue my Patek sports collection at Chong Hing; it was about $100k of spend to get a 5712a or 5164r at retail - this was in 2022. I played around with the time only pocket watch and declined the “bundle”. I tried putting it my pants but my pants fell down because the clock is 400g of pure horology. Even with a tight belt it still made me look like I was very …excited when I put it in my pocket. Cost was around $68k for this giant paperweight. Was the last straw for me.

Limited to only 50 pieces. Big. Strong. Wow!

Happy to provide more if sued for libel.

Holding your deposit hostage is insane behavior. Did they give you a timeline for when they watch will arrive?

This isn’t the first unhappy CH story I’ve read. Bummer this AD has been given the honor of opening a patek boutique

The pocket watch story made me LOL. Thats insane, I cannot believe they actually propose someone buy that thing to get what one wants. But they must do it because people do! Insanity.

Maybe write to Patek directly to let them know of your experience?

It’s one thing to propose that someone buy this crap, it’s an entirely different thing for that someone to actually buy it. I’m astounded anyone would buy that thing for any purpose whatsoever (absent perhaps saving the life of a loved one held hostage by force)

Even funnier bit is one came into this thread stating these thieves could sue someone for throwing them under the bus. As if the act of slandering them is worse than what they are actually doing.

As mentioned in my recounting I declined the bundle and it was the last straw and I cut my ties with them after that insult.

That is wild! That's taking bundling to another level.

Ok this thread is funny and kinda annoying as far as the AD practices. Just curious are any of the Patek Boutiques owned by Patek? Thinking of the Patek store in South Coast Plaza.

South Coast is owned by Bucherer. They are no better. They wanted me to buy a bunch of pre-owned or other brands before they would even entertain putting me on a list for a basic Calatrava.

I never, ever, buy any watch over retail whether that’s direct or indirect through bundling watches whose actual value is far less than the retail price requested. This does mean I will never own a current gen Patek sports watch. C’est la vie.

i don't think they're losing it any time soon. They just built & opened their patek boutique in the fall of 2024.

No clue what OP was trying to buy/order from them. I haven't bought a patek from them yet but I've purchased a VC previously. CH is notorious for requiring a ridiculous amount of purchase history so not surprised to ever hear anything bad about them.

Insane, this pocket watch would resell for the price of gold.
Better buy on secondary market...

I've had good dealings with the SoCal CH in San Gabriel but the offerings are getting slimmer and slimmer. Sad to hear about the abysmal customer service from the Norcal branch.
