Top Ten Most Expensive Watches...

Notice Rolex is not on the list...

http://stylecrave.com/2009-05-29/lux...nsive-watches/

I will keep looking for a mint GMT Coke.

I don't think Rolex will ever be on that list since it doesn't fit into their business model.

Kind of puts things in perspective when people complain about $5-10K Rolex models.

By far the ugliest watch! I wouldn't buy that watch for 25 bucks, let alone $25 million.

Wow the GMT II ICE can't even contend with the "cheapest" watch on that list hahaha I'd rather buy 20 rollies and a house than almost all of those watches lol

Those are some nice watches pictured. But it doesn't surprise me that Rolex is not on their list because Rolex is a mass produced brand meant to sell to the now decreasing (at least in the US anyway) middle class. Rolex doesn't try to compete for complications, etc. Rolex is doing a great job marketing however, if you are surprised they are not on the list.

I think they should exclude any watch with stones that aren't in the movement. There is no end to adding stones to drive the price up, besides I don't mind a few here and there but some of these diamond watches are just plain obnoxious.

I was only partially serious about Rolex being absent. Only chance was if there was some special diamond encrusted slliness.

Nevertheless there are a few nice pieces as pointed out by Kyle and others.

And no one will ever pay those prices.

Example.

Still, not cheap, but a big hit. Think how many Rolex $300k would buy!

The article forgot to add the cost of a bodyguard (or two) when you wear those watches.

They all look amazing (except that rediculous #1 Chopard) but I wouldn't choose one at any price to be on my wrist!

They've missed some out. Like the £1.5m JLC (very) limited edition Hybris Mechanica Grande Sonnerie.

O would say the Chopard should be out of the contest.......it's barely a watch at all.

The last one or the most expensive at $25 mil looks more like a purse than a watch

Some of these watches are expensive due to adding diamond... I can add 300 ct of diamonds to a timex and call it the most expensive watch too... its crap.
