Icon10 The OFFICIAL Los Angeles GTG Thread - join in!

Ok - let's get this together and organize the next big GTG in Los Angeles.

I volunteered to arrange the GTG in the Socal GTG thread but I figured it was better to make a new topic just for our specific GTG.

Here's what I'm thinking...

Meet up at an agreed upon Rolex AD. I suggest Geary's in BH [but any AD with a great selection will work]. I will arrange this ahead of time and see if the AD will get in some cool pieces for us all to oogle over.

THEN

We can all go to a good restaurant within walking distance of the AD. I can arrange this also - perhaps a big table or room at the Cheesecake Factory in BH, which is, in fact, the first Cheesecake Factory.

ADDED : 20/10/09

OK - it's official.

Meet at Geary's on Rodeo Drive @ 10AM on Saturday, October 24th, 2009

The address is:
351 North Beverly Drive
Beverly Hills, CA 90210

After this, we will then make a stop at Westime, which is also on Rodeo Drive, and then continue on the the Cheesecake Factory on Beverly Drive for a 12:30PM lunch reservation, which I just made.

See you on Saturday!!

SO

Everyone give me your input and let me know if you are "in" and WHAT IS A GOOD DATE or time frame. Once I get this info I can go about organizing the details.

I'm in Rowland. The spots mentioned above sounds good. We just need to finalize a time and date.

Im okay with that but there seems to be a lack of enthusiasm for an LA meet?

It may just really be the two of us? :(

Wish I could join you.
I'd love to stop by The Hambuger Hamlet and sit at Dean Martin's table again. Drinks at The Polo Lounge.

Come on guys! We need more enthusiasm here! How about some incentives - free T-shirt for all those who attend?
:D

Come on lets get this GTG organised already.

How many people can we get together for this weekend?
Are we going to or what?

Buddy: Well we need to ensure that we can have some good numbers for this GTG, so we need to get the word out when and where do you suggest?

I really need to get a handle on the number of attendees before I start making the arrangements. Not an exact number - but is it just going to be 5 people? I am going to bring myself and my girlfriend.

What do you mean by this? I suggest Geary's on Rodeo for the AD and Cheesecake Factory for lunch. Is that what you mean? We can do this Saturday if everyone likes that.

I also recommend that we make a stop at Westime, which is also on Rodeo Drive just down from Geary's. While they don't carry Rolex, they are the nicest and most informed watch store I've EVER been to. A lot of fun stuff to see there.
