ADs in Mexico and Germany?
Hi guys/gals! First post, so take it easy on me. Recently bought a SS GMT-IIc from a grey dealer. V series with Mexico country code. Open papers with "Dalce Joyeros Hermosillo" as the distributor. Can anyone confirm this AD in Mexico? What city? I used the www, but no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciately.
I already have a SS DJ jubilee bracelet black diamond dial M series Germany country code from "Mauer Essen". Can anyone confirm this AD and city? Both have been checked by a local horologist friend, but I would feel better about knowing the where abouts of both these ADs. Thanks everyone for all the great posts. Great forum! |

OK, after some research found the following...
Mauer is an AD in Essen, Germany. Here is their website... http://www.juweliere-mauer.de/ Dalce Joyeros seems to be an AD in Hermosillo (capital of Mexican state, Sonora). I can't find a website though? Any help confirming this one is greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

I live down here, and have quite a lot of watch magazines published here in Mexico. I looked briefly last night, and didn't see any ads from "Dalce Joyeros". In Hermosillo, there is at least on AD I'm aware of, and it is not Dalce.
You may want to call Rolex USA in NY (number is on their website), and ask if there is an AD in Mexico by that name. If RUSA asks, Hermosillo is in the Sonora state. Good luck.

Thanks Deep Sea! I called RUSA, but they gave me the number to Mexico headquarters. Beleive it or not but both my office and cell phone won't call Mexico. :( I'll try to call soon on another phone. I got the GMT-IIc from Stein Diamonds of LA, CA after reading great reviews for them on TRF and having some of the best prices on the www. I'll keep everyone posted of my findings. Thanks again.

OK...here's the latest...got I-Dial on my cell phone and called Rolex in Mexico City, who confirmed that Dalce Joyeros in Hermosillo is an AD and provided their address and phone number. I then called them directly to find that although their financial name is Dalce Joyeros, their store front is Daniel Ceballos... http://www.danielceballosjoyeros.com/contacto.php.

No, I've been to Berger and EMWA, and have purchased from EMWA in the past. The prices down here are 8-12% above US list, but they will discount down to the same price you can get in the US, and sometimes more.
I bought a ND Sub 18 months ago, for $3500 BNIB from the AD here. At the time, the best I could find from an AD in the states was about $4K, so I was happy with the deal. Whenever I go to another city here in Mexico, I always look in the phone book for AD's, and try to visit. They are very accommodating, and usually have party favors to give out if you take the time to look and chat with them. I've picked up pens, cleaning cloths, and all kinds of magazines in the past, and even got some Rolex watch display stands. Enjoy your watch! martin

Thanks again for the info Martin. The BNIB GMT-IIc V serial was bought from Stein Diamonds (grey dealer in LA, CA), but drop shipped from Daniel Ceballos since I wanted the watch ASAP. I was able to get it at a fair price of less than $5800 out the door. So obviously SD does alot of business with DC and is able to get at fairly low prices. The deal went great, although my next may actually come from TRF (US papers). :)
