Finally own a SS GMTIIC!

Hi all,

After much thinking I finally took the decision to trade in my Z-serie Sea-Dweller 16600 for a brand new V-Serie GMTIIC, unfortunatly I had to sell my old workhorse, a 10 year old Omega Seamaster to help fund the trade.

I have been unsure if I would like the GMTIIC with PCL but I have to say, it takes the SD hands down, I am super satistfied with the trade and wont look back...

/m

Congrats! I got mine about a month ago and couldn't be happier with my choice. I agonized over the TT vs the SS and ultimately went SS - and glad I did. That said, with all the nice timepieces on this forum I am developing a wandering eye.

Post a wrist shot here soon

Cheers, Chris

I just got a little bored with the SD, I also wanted to try one of the 'newer' ceramic models with the supercase etc... and I really dont see myself going back to the oldstyle case unless I might stumble over a a real bargain...

For me the GMTIIC really has the upperhand over the old case style as SD/Subs, I like the added weight, the AR coated cyclop even, the clasp off course, I even dont mind the PCL, this all and all makes it a winner in book, the only SS Rolex I should trade it for is maybe the upcoming ceramic SS SubDate,

GmtIIC is a phenomenal watch. Don't be trading it for anything even the new sub ceramics! Keep that watch, it's a special timepiece.

Btw, do you see yourself missing your other 2 watches?

Congrats!!! I have both the SD and the GMTIIc and I prefer the SD better. Much more classic and less flashy. Love both though.

Not really, the Omega Seamaster was just laying collecting dust, I also got a really good deal on it, I almost got the same as I paid 10 years ago :-) And the SD I thought I would miss it more, but the GMTIIC is just a better watch...

Now I have my sight aimed for a SS Breitling Chronomat with green croc strap :-)

Congrads man! I just got one myself yesterday. Love it. Dare I say this, but I like it better than the black dial SS V Daytona that I had.
