A somewhat generic rant about never seeing everrose watches, especially DJs

I still covet a two-tone everrose-stainless DJ, but I never see them anywhere! Occasionally an AD has examples (though, never the configuration I want), but they are 9 grand! It's clear from perusing the pre-owned examples around here that even the new-style two-tone DJs are worth about half that. So, it makes my stomach turn just thinking about having to buy one new. But I never, ever see used ones for sale! And the use ones I've seen for sale have the wrong dial, typically roman numerals as opposed to my preference, the stick markers. Sometimes I think one of these days I'll just have to find "any" of these that's on a jubilee bracelet and have the dial changed.

Does anyone else feel my pain here?! I don't know what it is, but I just love the rose gold TT but have zero interest in the yellow gold TT. Sometimes I wish that weren't the case.

Unfortunately when you narrow down your choices to a specific TT-metal and then add a specific dial your chances of finding it used become very slim. Maybe you can find a nice used TT-Rose DJ with a different dial and have it changed over if you find it a good price-point.

Like what, though? 20%? Even at 20% off, that's more than $7000, which is painful for a watch that's selling for $4XXX pre-owned! (The TT yellow gold version, that is)

Yep, like I said, that's what I'll probably have to do. The problem is, if I want a stick dial, I need to at least find a dial that's in the same "family" as that dial. i.e. I can't buy a pre-owned with a diamond dial, or I will only be able to exchange that for a different diamond dial, right?
