A special version of this watch is used by the Cigarette Power Boat Racing team (don't ask me why). The movement is extreme shockresistant because it is suspended in the case by springs. The strange rim you see is a sun visor.

Well it certainly looks rugged with all those "allen keys" in the side of the case. Would I wear one? Probably not.

I'm with you, Adrian. Rugged looking but not to my taste. And that's despite the fact that the dial is ORANGE.

How come you don't react as sharply to a FULL ORANGE dial as you do to my mere PO bezel?

The dial is red (or yellow, or blue) and they range from $1100 to $1500. Too much for a watch 'on the side'.

P.S. And they come in a shoe box size metal box with 3 extra straps, toolkit, keychain, book, etc.

Well, when you consider how much of a furore ONLY the orange bezel caused, can you imagine what a whole orange dial would do??
