Blue Faced TT Daytona...

Hi Guys

Whilst out shopping today I made my usual stop to my local AD to see if any interesting models had come in...and boy there was!

They had an interesting version of a Daytona, one ive never seen before but have fallen in love with, just wondered if anyone had one, pics or info about the model.

It was Steel and Yellow gold, with a blue face, arabic dial and red detailing. There is a similar model with a black arabic dial here:

http://www.essential-watches.com/Rolex-New-116523-Daytona-2-Tone-Black-Arabic-Dial-21033.aspx

I was seriously tempted but unfortunately the £8870 list price was a little steep for my current budget! What kind of discounts could one expect in the UK for Steel and Gold Daytonas?

This doesn't look like a standard Daytona and is a bit suspicious - a gold long hand with three red sub-dial hands

Also, I have never seen a dial with arabic markers coupled with the original bezel (with horizontal numerals). This suggests some hacking ...

Both the Blue Arab and the Black Arab are genuine Rolex Daytona Dials and are available on the TT models.

Looks like the real deal fellas, it's available on the YG 116518 model.

But as Watcher54 stated I believe it's availble on the TT Daytona models.

It's a Basel release form earlier in the year and just now drifting into stores.

There were are pics posted on TRF months ago. It's real and I think it looks great.

Yes that's it! What is everyones opinions on this model? I am currently on the waiting list for the SS Daytona, I suppose this would not hold it's value as well as the SS, looks damn good though, and possibly even more rare than the SS models!?

I think it's a sweet looking Daytona. A bit out of my budget also but that doesn't keep me from looking and admiring!
