What comes with a new Rolex?

I'm starting to look for a nice used Explorer II or Sub or GMT, and wanting to avoid being fooled by a fake, I'm wanting to stick to those that have boxes and papers. So my question is, what are all the components/papers that come with a genuine Rolex when buying from a dealer? Do some of the papers have the serial number on the papers (as my other watches do, such as Breitling and Cartier)? Thanks.

a broad smile !!

..... seriously the "full set" should be 2 rolex booklets, a guarantee card or paper (depending on age), red seal tag, green model number tag, bezel protector, polishing cloth and a box with an outer card box....

And there might be the Rolex anchor with the submariner...depending on the age. (stopped giving them with the submariners around 6 or 7 years ago)

Could you be more specific about the guarantee card or paper? A pic of both would be awesome if anyone has one, and what year did they start using the card (assuming that's the more recent thing)? Thanks again.

research your questions a little bit using the search feature. you will find them. If you buy local, take it to an AD for them to tell you whether it's a gen or not if that will make you feel more comfortable. There are gray dealers and sellers here who are reputable as well.

Here are the books / papers that came with my Series D 2006 GMTII.

Here is a close up of the Serial # area on the papers:
