40% in UK mate. but that doesnt mean you'll get anything like 40% off. Rolex arent keen on discounting and they could lose their Rolex Dealership Status.
They also have staff, overheads etc.... About 20% off is most ive really heard of in the UK and thats a Gold or TT model. UK ADs dont really discount SS models much if any. Hope this helps, Nairn |

I found out from an AD last week--He said they get 40% off of each model. If they sell within 30 days--Rolex gives them an extra 2%.

18% off is really good! It depends on the model to be honest. I find there are great sellers here on the forum who offer really good prices. Worth pushing your AD for a deal too....Ive seen lately 20% off Sub LV and Milgauss on the Forums Brand new, and these are excellent prices.
I got a SS Daytona recently after a long wait, and out of cheek asked for a discount, but I failed. Lucky to actually get a Daytona though :) |

the key in my opinion is to get a little high street AD in a town or city.
Avoid the big groups who tend to limit discounts and often not offer any. Work out the discount you want, and go in saying you've been offered it elsewhere and if they match it you'll buy from them, but dont negotiate until you are ready to buy or you look stupid. I got 20% off a nice SS Datejust a few years ago....just be a willing buyer and make clear you want to buy NOW! thats my advice |

Fair Play to you mate: I've never heard of anything like 18-20% in the South East.

Never have I been able to get any discounts, unless it's a white/yellow gold piece.
Only way to get 17.5% off is to pre order the watch and pick it up at Heathrow.

Again, depends on the type of watch.
All the ADs around here will simply say NO DISCOUNT but if you know them and have a bit of a relationship with them, then discussing prices shouldnt be a problem...but only when you have that relationship. However places like Watches of Switzerland, Mappin and Webb, Goldsmiths, Ernest Jones etc will be far less likely to want to discuss discounts. Thats why I suggest stick to an independent and build a relationship...very important...someone off the street will normally get nothing. I bought a Yachtmaster for my girlfriend from this AD and got a cracking discount...also get offers on any other jewellery at same time. When I got my Daytona from the same AD it didnt take long due to the relationship, basically I got put right to the top of the queue...and when collecting it a nice big box of Thorntons chocolates for the staff went down well....just keep in touch with your AD and you will reap the rewards.... Just my opinion, but its worked for me...they say so many a**holes go in and treat them like dirt acting like know-it-alls etc....so the relationship is important. Nairn |
