Rolex Sapphire Case Back

Hello everyone, I am new here
I have developed a custom sapphire case back for Rolex watches. I wanted to have your take on that kind of parts. I know some Rolex owners can be very conservative when it comes to their baby. Does anyone already has tried changing the caseback for a transparent one?

Thank you

Welcome! I've never really considered doing that, but several people have been interested. How do you make them, and test the product? Is there any chance of cross threading, or leaking? I'd want to know more about the item before putting it on a Rolex. Show us pics if you have any.

There are a few folks here who have done that. They're commercially available.

Show us some pix.

Most Rolex owner we talked to never considered doing that either. However Rolex movements are really nice and it feels good to see your movement or being able to show it to others... This is the idea behind our product.

They have actually been made in collaboration with someone who worked at Rolex back in the days. They are made in Geneva and the quality is really good.

No risk of leaking, our product has been tested for that. I am attaching a picture. Will post more when I get a chance to.

Posted a reply but it never showed on the thread.

I was saying that our case back were developed with the help of someone who used to be working with Rolex back in the days. We really tried to make it look like a Rolex part as much as possible.

It is made in geneva, not in China ! Our product has been tested for leaks and other potential issues.

I am posted a picture. I'll put some more when I get more.

Thanks for the feedback.

Like Chris says, a few here have done it and it looks good. It's also completely reversible for the purists.

I like the design, but I think it could do without the Swiss Watch text.

The idea was just to feature our brand on the part (Swiss Watch Customs). But I guess if you guys all agree that it shouldn't be there, we'll take it out.

Yes, I would like one if that text was removed? How much are they going to run? How many models do you currently offer this for? List?

I wish that Rolex would detail their movemens and make all their watches with a crystal caseback (or atleast as an option). Make the movements part of the beauty of the watch. Jus my

Looks good. Any chance you post more pics? I would like to see more. Also, how much are you pricing these?
What will the dimension thickness of the watch be with this case back?

I'm sure you would want something inscribed on the watch to identify it as your case-back.. Not sure if, "Swiss Watch Custom" is the ticket.
How about the option of personalization? Just brainstorming..
I would probably want mine just blank and clean.

Good luck on this. I think good idea, though other transparent case-backs are out there already. I think you need to set yours out from the rest, in some way.
mount gemstones to bling it up.. for those that like that kind of thing.

Case example;;
In Thailand, I've seen diamonds and other gemstones, mounted on the inside of a ring..
No one sees the gems unless you remove the ring.. strange.. why the hell for??.. I have no idea.. hahaha
But it was interesting.

yup I have seen this too.. you add 1 diamond every year of marriage on the inside (usually for mens) and outside for the wife...

Eduardo (moviefreak) was kind enough to take a few pictures of our caseback installed on his watch. You can see them here:
