My one and only Omega - a 1960s Seamaster DeVille .
It works really well as a more formal/dressy watch .. ..

these are all the Omegas we have at home at the moment.

- the TT AT and white Speedy Date belongs to the wife

- the SS AT belongs to the father-in-law (gift to him on Christmas 09)

- the rest belongs to me

they had a mini GTG to welcome the TT DJII

Here are a couple of Omegas owned over the years.

Note: Not all watches at the same time and never more than two at any given point.

Ian Thorpe LE,

Co-Ax GMT,

White GMT,

PO with bracelet but on a Nato,

and my favourite, the 2254 (owned several times)

Cheers

Hey Father John,

IS your 2254 fitted with a replacement white gold bezel or was it originally purchased as a white gold bezel model as I would love to get the model number of the white gold model.

Love the watch.

Cheers

The WG bezel was intially used on the "America's Cup" SMP introduced in late 1999. It was later used on the 2230.50 which was referred to as the "non-America's Cup" since it did not have the AC logo on the dial.

The "America's Cup" had a painted dial and was a LE but it did not sell very well. On the other hand, the "non-AC" was not an LE but had applied dial markers and sold out quickly.

NOS "AC" models still show up from time to time but the "non-ACs" are very difficult to come by.

I began my 2254.50 customization with the applied marker dial and then added the WG bezel. The final touch was a display back from Thomas Preik.
