Speedy reduced service...
If you'll remember, I picked up this Speedy Auto a while back: (HERE).
It was runnning way too fast and the lume was deteriorated pretty bad on the hands. For giggles, I got in touch with Dalton Toledo of ABC Watchworks to see if he'd be interested in tinkering with the "infamous" engine and give it a service...We talked cars for a while and then, being the gent that he is, he said "send it in!" Got it back a couple days ago. Would it surprise anyone that it's now running only 3 seconds off per day? It also has brand new hands and the pushers are alot friendlier to push. Subdials still not aligned perfectly, but they're notorious for that issue even when new...and this one's 20+ years old. Gotta give a thumbs-up to Dalton Toledo. Highly recommended.
