Nobody's been able to capture in an image just how good this thing is in person, you really do have to hold it to appreciate how it turns itself into an impulse purchase.

But when you have this watch, you don't notice the case anymore, you just can stare at the dial without even knowing the time afterwards---- Greetings Tom |

This is the closest I've seen to this watch being captured in all its glory in pictures (I think - I still haven't seen one in person yet...)
http://rolexblog.blogspot.com/2010/0...ubmariner.html That, and if you go search the words Rolex Baselworld 2010 on YouTube, you'll find a video that was posed on here a few days back of someone doing a walk-through of the Rolex line - the first watch they hit is the Hulk and it looks amazing in the video, as I'm sure it does in person!

Sweet! Is cool how the dial color changes, isn't it? Welcome to the Hulk Club.

Got mine from the local AD 3 weeks ago...wonderful dial...of course no discounts, just full price which is $7875 here in the US...that's fine as for now they're on the rare side. With the sinking $US against world currencies, the price will only go higher probably next year (all Rolex's). Enjoy and wear it in good health! Cheers.

wondering if the 116610LV will be produced in the simlar number as the 16610LV (ie. less than the 16610 black bezel Sub) Rolex green colous has been very popular lately... wonder how many green lovers in TRF |

"Most of the pics of the LV C tend to show it as overall a much greener experience than it is in practise. Most of the critisism of this model, seems to focus on it being too green. Compared with the previous LV with the black face. It has been perceived that the new model is too green to be worn every day. What I am noticing is that the remarkable and IMO hugely interesting way in which the greengold dial handles light, in most light conditions and at most angles of view when worn. The dial rarely looks very green. In fact I am starting to think that the use of greengold is cleaverer than I thought. It has massively variable greeness changing from very green and almost black at the extreme ends (Angle and light) to a tinge of green most of the time. At the same time never clashing with the bezel. This is a much more interesting watch, than I ever expected it to be." |

Rolex was very smart on doing this and the 116610LV being too green was my first thought when i saw it at Basel in March.... now that i have it, the dial changes. i have lost count of the number of times my wife asks - which green Sub are you wearing? the dial looks black. |
