Which President would you choose?
I want to buy myself a 40th birthday present. Both watches cost the same. One has diamond bezel the other is Platinum.

For my taste, 36 mm, no stones.

It seems like most men prefer no diamond bezel. Is the reason because it makes the watch too fancy and you can can't wear it casually or does it look to feminine?

I wear a YG DD now with a black stick dial. No diamonds. It works in casual and dress settings. I don't even like diamonds on the dial, but I could live with those. I dont know, I think a diamond bezel gives the watch a "liberace" flair, that I would not care to project. Given the choices, I would go with the platinum. Very nice watch. |

My personal favourites are the plain bezel DDs on Oyster bracelet, and with white stick dial. So, of the two I'd pick the platinum. Also, I am not that much into diamonds. Further on, I would go 36 mm rather than the new DDII. Good luck, and let us know what you go for! Best, A |

Either Platinum or 18 YG with no diamonds would be my choice.

Diamonds are for women, they look disgusting on a man's watch.
Buy any Day Date without diamonds. |

I honestly think jewels on a watch make it look too gaudy. For me, the classic Rolex stick dial is perfecto mundo.

I like the jeweled dials, but not the bezel or any other part of the watch.
Get whichever YOU find most appealing and don't be too concerned with what anyone else thinks. You are wearing it for YOU; not us.

Of your choices, platinum with the ice blue dial. Stunning timepiece.

Here's my advice: buy the one you like. It's your money. If you like diamonds, then get them. You're the one who will wear the watch, not us. Only you know which one of the two mentioned best suits you, your skin tone, your job, your lifestyle and your taste.
