Icon5 Need Help to authenticate a Franck Muller

Hi fellow TRF,

I got this Franck Muller Casablanca from my brother.

I wanted your expertise to see if this watch is real or not.

I open the back so you can see the inside of it.

Thanks in advance.

think you have a replica, the movement definitely does not look right. it looks like a stock eta movement, doesn't have the franck muller refinishing of the movement. i believe the movement is wrong too, should be a 2892, you have a 2824 or 2836 i believe

Didn't FM use Chinese or Russian movements for a while?

What is best a custom Rolex or a Rolex that is stuck in custom?

Buy a professional camera and you´re a professional
photographer, buy a flute and you own a flute.

Don't give up on it, yet. Just a thought, but who is going to spend a bundle to make a cheap copy of a Muller. I wouldn't think that there are enough sold to make the fakery profitable. This watch has a lot of detail for a fake.

the biggest tell is the movement, Luxury manufacturer's do not drop in plain eta movements without finishing it.

Personally, I'd give it back to him. You could always send it to Jocke for some fun. He'd know what to do with it.

When did FM actually spend time/labor/skill on finishing the generic movements that the company has used from the beginning?

A "good" fake FM might surpass the real thing in quality and workmanship!
