That would be a pretty big discount on a steel model and they may not go for it, but there's no harm in trying - maybe it will work.

That, and we're not yet a world economy so prices will vary from country to country after conversion..

Thanks Larry is that why I hear people talking about shipping out of town ? At the moment the US looks the cheaper option (better get on some of the trusted sellers then )

retail here in canada was $6,300 cad when i bought mine 6 months ago. I got it for $5,800 including taxes. My friend told me however, he was offered $5,500 (or $5,300, I don't remember) from a different AD. So I guess you can try your price on different ADs.

Give it a shot and prepare to consider a counter offer (if you really want the watch).

I was offered one in San Diego at Maui Jewelers (Fashion Valley Mall) for $5k ... my wife wanted it, but I turned it down.
Bought her a brand new "M" SD in Portland (no tax) for $5k a week later. |

I don't want to start a new thread. I am about to buy an Explorer 1, d serial, excellent condition. $3000. I think it's a good deal but I want to make sure you guys agree. I've held it and it is excellent besides desk swirls on clasp.

I would say that is alright if you do not have a relationship with the AD... I would get them to include tax if possible... If not, have it shipped out of state to avoid the tax at the time of sale
