Newbie from Atlanta!
Hi y'all! Glad to be here, but want to make sure I "belong."
Have wanted a Rolex for many years and just rec'd one for my b-day but now I'm a wee bit concerned about authenticity since my partner purchased it online. Suggestions for confirmation? Did any 6719s have no engraving on the bracelet? There's a coronet on the outside of the clasp, but no inside markings. How might a newbie learn about what is/was OEM versus aftermarket for a pre-owned piece? |

Welcome.
You could post some photos of your watch here and that would be a good basis for getting feedback. You could take your watch to a watchmaker who knows about Rolex and ask him/her.

It appears that the folding sections of the clasp are completely plain without any Rolex embossing on them ???
If that is so then there may certainly be issues about the originality of the clasp. The endlinks look original, but to give you a definite answer I need a lot more clearer photos from different angles including the dial of the watch.

Welcome to the forums.
I can't comment on the watch though. It's best to have it checked by an AD.

Thanks for the welcome. Followed your advice visited an AD and guess what, although a serial # was present, guess what:
non-Rolex crown non-Rolex dial non-Rolex hands non-Rolex bracelet Boo! Suppose I'll be talking to R-USA real soon. But the good news: I'm now the proud owner of REAL Lady Datejust w/ Silver Jubilee Dial and Oyster bracelet and VERY happy gal. Last edited by db_in_atlanta; 16 April 2011 at 09:03 AM..
