Sounds like you need a Casio G-Shock!

Casio G-Shock.

Would rather smack a Casio on a hatch or knee-knocker then any Rolex.

No point in owning it if you don't wear it!
Take the Sub!

When I was going to sea, I never had a nice watch. Just some plastic beater - likely a Casio.

Personally, I recall getting paint, grease and chemicals on all my clothes / watches...unless I was working in the Galley...different story.

I suppose you could wear it when you stand your watch, i.e. are on the wheel or doing look out duty.

You could take the Sub for going ashore - if you are not worried about your ports of call or leaving it in the Foc'sle. I certainly would not do ship work with a Sub.

Hey Badger.......There is some sort of a Large, 4-legged creature stuck to your knee. He/She looks like they are ready to kick you where the sun don't shine.

In which case, I'd be a blubbering crumpled heap on the ground... But my Sub'd be just peachy!

Fortunately, dispite that being the Long-Haired General's MULE, she was very well behaved!

sub 24/7

the only time i have ever (sometimes) taken it off is when painting.

my biggest concern would be leaving it in your cabin for safe keeping and then finding it being kept safe on someone else's wrist.

if you bring, it wear it and if your going, bring it.
