If the store doesn't have what you're looking for, go someplace else. Agreeing to be put on a wait list to fork over a large sum of money on a luxury item is crazy.
There's an old saying in the construction business- He that holds the money holds the power. |

What's even worse is having to speak with some of the people who work in the AD's. I mean, what happened to the store assistant being happy for selling an expensive watch? It's almost like they feel you should be grateful for them adding your name to the waiting list. It's like they are fed up with people asking the same thing all the time about the SubC and it's reflected in the way they speak with you. Naturally I give as good as I get... |

oh and Wempe on Bond St has Sub Cs as well but they only come out if you're a serious buyer and don't look like someone who will race down to Burlington and sell them by the time you read this all the Sub Cs i saw are probably on the wrists of Chinese tourists

Ha ha genuinely no offence but I don't buy that, plus I've seen way too many posts on the subject of the elusive Sub in London. So what... There is now a vetting system where they have to deem you as a serious buyer to bring one out? I don't see how much more serious I can be then to call them telling them I'm based at London Bridge and can be with them in 20 minutes to purchase?! So, I take it you went to each of those stores you mentioned and asked to see a SubC because you wanted to buy one?? Otherwise that would contradict what you are saying about being a serious buyer, unless you bought one from each of the stores you told me about! If you didn't, then I guess you are one of many who perhaps fuel this ridiculous behaviour of these store assistants... BOOOO to you!! Shame on you!! |
