Rolex oyster bracelet construction ?

Wondered how an oyster bracelet that is made up of numerous individual
links is constructed ? How does it hold together ?. Each link must have an
internal pin inside that holds it to the next link and there are no external
entry points, so is it pressed together in some way, and once worn is it
ever possible for it be restored, and if so how can it be dis-assembled ?

Each link is held together with a splined pin that on the new ones is covered with a tube to protect the gold or steel link it connects too. They are held with locktite as well, as far as rebuilding them not sure if new spline pins are available, but it's usually the link that fails not the pin. Rikki

Yeah, as good as Rikki's explanation was, a picture really is worth 1,000 words!
