Lets see PICS of your watch's adventures! (PIC HEAVY!)
Since i've been collecting watches, I put some time thinking each day into which watch to wear for certain occasions. Over time, some of my watches have built up quite the list of experiences, and I can now relate many of the watches I own to very specific and special moments in my life. Looking at my watch box can almost be like looking at a photo album for me, helping me recall old stories and past adventures.
For example my first Rolex, and Oyster Date, was purchased to celebrate a very successful year of the first business I owned. Since then it has gone on many vacations with me, been through highs and lows, and even shared a steam room with Pauly Shore in the Castillo Del Mar in Miami Other watches like my Planet Ocean, IWC Aquatimer, Daytona, and Explorer II have traveled around the world with me. My Daytona was to become my wedding day watch this past spring in Maui. I know i'm a little bit of a lost cause, but my watches become a fairly significant part of my vacations and even daily life. Talking with ADs and other watch people, watch spotting in crowds and while watching TV and movies, and always trying to get the perfect wrist shot when i'm somewhere special. No matter where we are or what we're doing, I can always find a reason to think of watches (my wife loves this ) There is a quote I quite enjoy, I don't remember where I heard it or who originally said it, but it goes something like this: "A watch isn't about telling the time, it's about your relationship with time. A watch is about style, a story, and the history of both your watch and your own life." Here are just some random shots of some of my watches and their adventures over the years, hope you enjoy, and please feel free to post pics of some of your own watch's adventures! Thanks for viewing!

3,400 miles on motorcycle across the western US, British Columbia and Alberta, Canada two weeks ago. Here the Tudor Tiger rides on the Icefields Parkway north of Banff.

The only thing better would have been photographing the grizzly bear running across the road in front of my bike on the Bow Valley Parkway earlier in the day.

Exotic Car Tour
I recently went on an Exotic Car tour in San Jose, which consisted of driving 6 different cars for 20-30 minutes each over a twisty mountain road (HWY 84 from Woodside) down to the coast, down HWY 1 and back up through Pescadero.
I drove a Ferrari 360 spider, Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, Aston Martin DB9, Lotus Elise and a Mercedes AMG SL55. It was a blast and highly recommended! |
