Usually I prefer dark dials on watches but on the EXP II I would go with the white dial. It looks better than the black dial.

The question you should ask is: Should i get two EXPII or just one!?

I am enjoying my 216570B everyday and would get a 216570W too if my fund allowed.

well, you've held out on the ND this long due to your perception that the bracelet is "flimsy"....the bracelet hasn't changed, so, i don't know why you'd go for it now over the new explorer II.

i don't know what you are going to do, but, if i were you, i'd pick up the new black and wait on basel for some ND news.

that being said, i think the "old" rolex bracelet is great - light, functional, sturdy, time-proven....but, if you don't like it, why get it now when a new one is likely right around the corner? of course, the case and dial will probably go maxi, too, FWTW.

I have never seen the 42mm explorer in person. From the pictures I do of course like the looks of the watch, as far as white or black I am totally unsure of which to choose. I usually like markers and hands that shine and glisten and the white has markers and hands that are painted what looks to be a gloss black - not very elegant IMHO, and I know it's a sport watch but still, the sub-c is elegant, sporty, classy, dressy, etc, etc, etc.

Also too, for the price of the watch I don't see what upgrades it has over the older model except for the new clasp that doesn't have the glidelock (I know this watch isn't a diver, but still the glidelock comes in handy always), and it's a bit larger in size - which is quite subjective depending on how you prefer watch sizes.
