I heard that Omega is now having an offer in dubai when you spend something like 22,000 AED you get a free voucher worth 11,000 AED to buy another watch from Omega! So what offers are Rolex giving in this years DSF?
Hi Snaggle, You are corerect the Dubai shopping festival (DSF) started on 5th January (the day I bought) through to 5th February. Normsally there are considerable discounts and prizes if you purchase that raffle a kilo of gold per day.

Unfortunately Rolex do not participate in the DSF with either gold or KO discounts although I did manage to get 10% discount on the watch without much haggling. Makes me think I was not as aggresive with the bargaining as I should have been.

Also correct on the Omega deal where they will give around what you suggest or a free ladies version.

Best deal I saw was for the Breitlings in the UK that had circa GBP 2000 knocked off the price in the January sales but the Rolex still kept me on the path that I am perfectly happy with on the new purchase.

I think in general, and I speak outside the USA, deals are pretty much compatible in Europe and the Middle East with even the VAT free AD at Heathrow airport claiming they were 20% cheaper than the high street but in reality were only a few hundred pounds and had a limited selection.

When I visited the AD in Dubai Mall Rolex shop to by the SubC, the store was packed to the door with mainly Russian and Chinese shoppers who were all focusing their attention on the biggest bling bling Rolex they could get their hands on, diamonds, diamonds and more diamonds, but at least three credit cards were rejected as I was being fitted out. I( guess they make money on their purchase back in their home country?

Wow. Good to know. My father booked a trip to Dubai a while ago and will be going in about 4 days expecting to buy atleast 2 rolexes from the DSF because he thinks that they are going to be highly discounted lol. Guess I got to tell him the bad news.

BTW, im just curious to know, how much did you get your sub from in Dubai? I got mine for 2,880 BHD... and when the AD gave us this price he "assured" us that it was cheaper than if we went to Dubai lol.
