Hello
Just wanted to say hello and to thank everyone for a great Forum. I bought my first Rolex recently and am very, very happy with the purchase. It's a Rolex Datejust II with rhodium dial and white gold bezel/stainless steel strap.
My watch "collecting" days started many, many years ago (11 to be exact) with the purchase of a JLC Master Reveil, which I still have and which I will give to my son when he starts college. Although very much an Omega man, I had thought about getting a Rolex ever since primary school (!), when those great full page Rolex ads started appearing extolling the virtues of their various "tool" watches. (I was particularly enamoured by the Explorer and Submariner.) My new Date Just II is a work of art, both understated and sublime and yet probably able to withstand the rigours of hard, every day use. I like it very much. My next purchase will probably be a green Submariner, provided I can still find a good sample, that is. :) Looking forward to participating in this Forum and learning from everyone as well. |
