He's forthcoming about the "cons" of the watch but not sure...

Hes sold a lot of Rolex's in the past. Its clearly a Frankenwatch, I would tend to believe its legit. But Im not sure what it is that you are buying. Is it the 'looks' of a Rolex? Or the 'deal' of maybe getting a SD really cheap ?

You have to go into it with eyes wide open. By the price it doesnt seem to be be bidded up much with 1 1/2 days left to it. i would suspect any new owner would have the same problem down the road if they needed to sell it.

But is it really a SD? Or a bunch of mis-matched SD parts?

See thats my point Mr. Bill. But thats just my own personal opinion. Some people would never buy used, and I do. To each his own. Its not for me to judge.

At least he's honest about it being a 'Frankenwatch.'

I don't care for franken watches - the seller clearly states such.

Just me.

There`s no value in a Rolex cobbled together with counterfeit parts,it might as well be a complete counterfeit. In this case full disclosure by the seller serves to inform those interested in a genuine Rolex to stay away.

The important phrase is "NOT all original and has many added parts",which means you would be buying a pile of questionable parts in a Rolex case.

The dodgy Rolex Logo on the bottom should be red flag enough......

and btw the rust on the rotor center doesn't come out of the blue

With about 4hrs left and nearing $3k, it's way too high. I guess if you're betting that the dial is real + the movement....

Do yourself a favour and take a pass on this one Dan.There are too many unanswered questions with this one and it`s too high a price to pay to answer them.It won`t cost you to walk away now, better that you should wait for something genuine to come your way.
