I picked up my Rolex Datejust from the watchmaker yesterday with a new mainspring. The old one was cracked and was slipping during manual winding. The new one feels great, I already wound it 40 times for a full wind. Here she is with her old mainspring and barrel.

It was services before I got it, however the mainspring broke a week into ownership. I sent it back for a fix, and the mainspring was the culprit.

Wow this thread is old I have changed the dial on that watch and have traded it in for a newer 16233 with the tapestry dial. But thanks for all your replies.
