Hello,

I have just listed a Tudor 7904 on Ebay. I am not going to put up the add here but have a question customs wise.
I was not thinking when I put up the add and also included the US as a buyers market. When I post this watch there do I need to take care of extra forms so that it will not be taken away by the customs service. I heard something about a contract that only Rolex is allowed to ship watches in to the US.
If someone buys it in the EU there is nothing needed nor extra customs cost for the buyer. Can anyone explane to me how this works or is it simply wiser to exclude all shipping outside the EU?

In regard to Rolex specifically.
In USA the company is Rolex USA in EU and most other place worldwide it is Rolex SA. So in reality it is two seperate entities. Thus unless you are wearing it you have a problem. Rolex USA are very strict and will not allow a rolex to be posted into the USA as that is out of tthere control and want you to buy in USA and not from elswehere ( Rolex SA)

Thanks for the quick response. So basically you are saying do not post to the US this will save me troubles? I have already lost a longines a year ago in US customs. Never heard anything off it anymore and claimed loss from the postal insurance I had on it. However they where good with me it still cost me money.

Tony,
There are enough buyers here in the eu. Selling and shipping to the usa and vice versa only make for unnecessary trouble

Yeah Tony, I would ship to the USA BUt just never ever a Rolex.. It is not worth the possible hassle
