IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph

Anyone have one and/or their thoughts on them? I am looking at the one on the alligator strap. I thinks it kinda sporty, yet classic. I think this may be the next addition to my collection.

I loved my 3717. A good 42mm sporty chrono. The bracelet is very nice also. It's reasonably priced and the 7750 based movement is easy for any watchmaker to work on. Some don't like the 7750 "wobble" but I never minded it. In truth, I'm not sure why I sold it.

Thanks for the info. What do you mean by the "wobble?"

Nevermind. I found the answer. Thanks. That's something to keep in mind.

The new spitfire pilot does not wobble like the 3717 did. The valjoux movement wobbled liked crazy on the wrist, the new inhouse movement is smooth as silk.

Serge, god help you if you post a pick of your new chrono on here! I need to stay away from pictures of that watch!

Here's my old 3717 on a BP strap....

Love the 3717, looking forward to some live pics of its replacement. I read that the new pilot's line is just starting to become available.

I wont hehe. May I ask where you got that strap? Is it an OEM Big Pilot strap? If so, I thought the strap was 22mm but the lugs are 21mm? I want one for my 3878 but I don't want to squeeze a 22 into a 21. Thanks

Check out Aaron Tan. His username is HKTAN on TZ. He can make a custom strap for you with the correct lug size.
