President bracelet 1.25 link

Replaced a link in my day-date bracelet with a 1.25 link. Needed it just a little more loose.

Thought I would share a couple pics..... I had never seen one before.

They are ridiculously expensive. Approx $600.00 each in white gold.

$600. Ouch.
This may be the only place where you can admit to spending that much $ on a link and no one calls you crazy.
We are a sick group of people.

Btw, I'd buy it if I needed the room. And if I had a white gold watch.

So true! I have to watch myself around non-WIS people. A friend commented on my new SMP and said, "That's a nice watch. What's that cost? Like $500 or something?" I just replied, "Yeah, somewhere around there...".

$600 for a link..I can understand it. Most people beside us wouldn't.

Mike, seems like the bracelet on the platty DD2 is the same price as mine! Unless it's gone up, this is from the 2012 pricelist ...

Some of the accessory prices get pretty nuts. How about $6k or so for a platinum deployant buckle?

I bought not one but two " 1 1/4 links" for my Datejust Two-Tone YG/SS Super Jubilee. The idea was to change out 1 link, and if necessary, a second. Well, 1 was perfect, so I have the other "just in case"

List Price was $210. each but my AD only charged me $350 for the pair.

A standard SJ link is 8 mm end to end, so the longer " 1 1/4 link" is 10 mm long. These seemingly small 2 mm adjustments can spell the difference between good and sublime fit !

Must be referring to the ALS deploy buckle, right? I was looking at a Pt Datograph and it also came with a Pt deploy buckle and they mentioned it was $6k.

As for the 1.25 link... I wonder why Rolex didn't make it 1.5?

Probably so you'd have to buy TWO for the 0.5 link fit.

Anyone have the exact measurements of a 1.25 link for a 40mm Day-Date?

What do you mean exact measurements? Here is a pic of the WG. It has made an incredible difference in the comfort level of the watch.

And no, it is not cheap.

It is funny. I have had to order the 1.5 link for all my jubilee braclets (DJ's) and Presidential braclets (DD 36, DD 41 and DD40). But my submariners, I have had to remove a link to make the braclet work.

Could be worse, AP gets about $1000 for one of their 1.5 links.
