my 3 month review of OP
Exactly three months ago I bought my first Rolex, a silver dial Oyster Perpetual, model 116000.
I would not feel comfortable wearing one of the sports/professional styles. And I did not want a date feature. So, the OP became a natural choice for me. I selected the silver dial for its neutrality. Now, 3 months later, I have no regrets and absolutely love wearing this watch. The bracelet is comfortable, clasp works perfect, 36mm is just right size. I especially like how the silver dial and bracelet color match each other, making for a subtle, easy to wear combination. Thanks to those here who helped me decide on this watch, I appreciate it. |

Got a wrist shot?
I've been eyeing the EXACT same model a while back... my only gripe with the OP's are that: 1) the clasp does not have the Easy Link. 2) The coronet on the clasp is "engraved" and does not stand out in relief like on most other clasps. 3) The blades of the clasp are all beadblasted... I personally prefer the version you see on most other new Rolex clasps where you have both polished and beadblasted parts (latter around the Rolex name and logo). I love the dial, though! The silver dial is a real stunner, and the 3-6-9 are actually glowing in the night since they're filled with Super-LumiNova (unlike the Explorer 114270 and 214270 - which is my gripe with those models)... |

Found some pics:

Pic of the clasp with the "engraved" Rolex coronet mentioned above (sorry, couldn't find any better pic!): ![]() (From forumactif.com) Here with a dark blue dial... also nice imho: ![]() But I would still prefer the Silver arab 3 6 9 dial... I love the simple, classic elegance of it plus the lovely "sunray" effect: ![]() (Pic from watchstore.com). |

I too am about to buy the OP-SS (Model 116000), I'm stuck between the blue or silver circle!
I do not have a large wrist and I do own a few chrono's with bells and whistles already, a simple Rolex would be a great addition! Congrats...and how is it keeping time? Do you use a winder (overnight) at all? |

Hi everyone, IMHO the OP 116000 is even stealthier than the Exp II, I mean some AD's dont even know this model exists! Like you guys I am stuck on the Blue v Silver dial dilemma but think I might go for the silver so as to give a more of the old DJ look. I am about to place an order for one on Saturday so very excited... :D
