Sometimes you just have to let go...

Sometimes when you care for something, you just have to let it go and be free to experience the world on...

Purchased Oct. 25, 2012.
Dealer took most of the stickers off; but I requested leaving some of them on for the time being. Hoping to prevent scratches as long as possible.

Nov. 6, 2012.
Some of the stickers started to look tacky...so I bit my tongue and started to peel.

I've read on the forum that some members keep the stickers to help bolster authenticity? I decided to keep together.

Nice watch but myself could never wear any watch with the packaging stickers on while on the wrist. And yes your watch will get scratched thats a simple fact of wearing any watch brand. But at normal routine service watch will get polished almost as new only to get scratched again hopefully in good health for the next 30 odd years.

It's like when Tom Cruise went out still wearing the bezel protector on some watch. Needless to say, the watch was as pristine as it came off the AD but he came off looking like a dork.

Take em off and enjoy the watch.

I tried that watch on so I know how you feel as it is absolutely stunning, but watches are made to be worn and its a diver so let it breathe and let her fly!

I was the same way when I got my first rolex. I told myself I was never going to scratch my watch. Two days later, it got a scratch near the clasp and I was devastated. Six years later and another new rolex and I wear them like watches are supposed to be worn.
Scratches will happen. It is just part of life. I found that trying tobe to careful, I did not enjoy the watch as much as I should. Wear it, enjoy it, and love it. Like others have said, scratches are like battle scars and they tell a story on your watch.
Btw, great looking watch

That is my favourite Rolex bar none. Congrats on a fantastic purchase.

I bought my first Rolex in 2003 and I remember not wearing it for fear of getting it scratched.

Today my 5 month old 14060M stays on my wrist all the time apart from zzzzzzzz time and is gaining scratches all the time. I just enjoy wearing it and consider myself lucky to be able to have it.

Enjoy your fantastic watch in fantastic health

You've opened the cage, but to be truly free you need to get a scratch and reach the stage where it just doesn't matter.
