Icon20 2003: Laser crown introduced.

Hi Members,

I hope you will be able to tell me if Rolex mark all there watches with the Laser crown on/ in the glass and if so when was this introduced

As I have an Air King which does not appear to have the said mark

Rolex does add the LEC on all of their watches... except on the green crystal of the Milgauss GV.

The LEC was introduced around 2001...

With non date models the LEC is sometimes found at various points of the dial other than the 6 position

As others have stated it was around 2001 the Laser Etched Hologram started in the Crystals but not on all models.And reports now even some new watches with no LEC on crystal with watches that did have it in past.So today nothing is written in stone with Rolex,but If you bought from a reliable source don't strain your eyes to look its not that important.
