It's hard not to go in sometimes because you can find many brands in one place which makes it easier to do side-by-side comparisons. But I typically leave with a headache.
The only positive experience was at Fashion Square Mall in Scottsdale. The guy knew his stuff and even offered a discount (non Rolex). Nothing special, just basically took care of the tax but I appreciated them at least trying to work with me for a change. |

I was in one the other day, asked the guy how a GMT worked. Not only could he not demonstrate the basics, he could not even tell me what GMT meant? I feel a little bad pushing him on this, but I sensed his total lack of knowledge and I just wanted to see if I was correct.
Now I also have to say, I have been in the same store, and had great (bordering on wonderful) service with a rep that was very knowledgeable, so crap shot I guess. |

case in point: I wore my Omega 2500D PO to the Omega AD a week ago to look at the 8500 calibre PO's. the sales lady didnt know the difference between a 2500 and 8500 and didnt know that the 2500D differs from the a, b, c variations. she told me that Omega training was pretty basic and that i was the first buyer she met that knew 'anything' about movements im sure we all have storys but the bottomline is 99% of buyers could care less about the stuff we care about as a WIS |

I can't complain about any service I've had there. The Torneau near me at Pentagon Mall always has good service and I will probably buy my next Rolex there in a month - mainly because they offer free financing. Regardless of who your AD is, would you leave your Rolex there for service. Not me! No matter who they are. It goes direct to RSC in NY. Any AD is a point of delivery for new Rolexes as far as I'm concerned and if they offer a discount that's a plus. The only time I would farm a Rolex out for service is if it were vintage and I knew a watchmaker who had the same affection for the watch I would have because I'm sure that a Rolex service guy may never have seen an old one or they'd have to send it off to 'Gerhardt' in Geneva.
