Opinions on GMT II C TT purchase price?

Hi all,

We have an AD here that is going out of business...

I stopped in yesterday and they have a new GMT II C in stainless and gold. Still has the plastic on it. They told me they have had this watch in their store for almost two years.

So, they offered it to me for $10,500 - out the door and I think I will go ahead and make the purchase.

Should I be concerned about the length of time the watch has been in their store and not running? To me, two years seems a long time. Or, would you all say it is good to go?

If I end up with it, I will post pictures later today!

Thanks for any feedback on this.

Ray

You might want to check the trusted sellers in the for sale forum as this price seems high compared to what I see

x2, I was able to get the one I had for significantly lower than that.

Thanks for the replies! It seemed a very good price to me - that price includes tax. Boils down to about 27% discount I think... Or close to that.

27% off retail is very reasonable.

If you like it, buy it.

I am going to make this purchase. The price of $10,500 includes tax so it seemed to be a good deal to me.

I will be there when they open! :)

10,500 is a decent price from AD. Of course you can do better buying here if you choose a slightly used one. Good luck with your choice.

With the 2 year Rolex warranty, I wouldn't worry about the idle time.

Congrats!

Nothing at all wrong with the age of the watch. Since it just sold, it's a 2013 watch.

Enjoy it!!

They had a couple of Daytona. Yacht Master. Quite a few men's and women's DJ. But no DJII left.

You just bought my favorite Rolex of all time. I think it's the best aesthetically, and it's the one I wear every day.

Huge congratulations!

Thanks! I am excited to have it.

Now I need so send my old Sub in for service so I can sell it. Mixed emotions on selling the watch though. I have worn it since new for the last 25 years. I still have all of the boxes, hang tags, the anchor that they used to give with the watch, and the original purchase receipt dated 05/30/1987.

I paid $2750.00 for it!

Sounds like a lot of history. I would keep it if I could.
