I need some help from my TRF family... I'm stuck in my watch! As you can see in the picture, the pin next to the foldover clasp came out during the day somehow and now I can't open the clasp. I don't think there are any AD's open tomorrow and I have to leave on a business trip early Monday morning. Can anyone give me any suggestions? FYI the watch is a 214270 Explorer, standard bracelet (I forget the reference). And yes, I did try poking it back in (gently) with a springbar tool to no avail.

I've seen this issue twice now in about a month!!.. Bazaar..

I think the best way would be, get your hands on a precision screw driver, and carfully let somebody unscrew it for you.. I can't really think of another suggestion, sorry!

Be sure once it gets screwed back in, to use some lock-tight to avoid this sticky situation again!..

submerge it in warm water, if that doesn't work unscrew the one of the links, seems to me tou are wearing your watch a little to tight.

Well, Screw it back in or screw it out, And you are released... Make sure you put the lock-tight on those before you go any further...

Easy fix here, but it's not a push- or poke-in solution. Look under a magnifier, and you'll see the familiar cut across the head of a screw that calls for a screwdriver.

Screw it back in with tiny (jewelers) flathead screwdriver, take it off, then remove and add lock-tight. Springbar tools sometimes have a screwdriver on the other end like the Sea Dweller tools, which would work if you have one.

Go to Ace Hardware, get a precision screwdriver set and some Loctite. Righty tightly and problem solved. I can see your concern, it would be irritating as hell.

Not sure if the OP is having a run at us but I hate when someone suggests the wrong tool for the job. This would be the correct tool.

Thank you all! No, I was not trying to trick any of you; I tried both pushing and screwing with a springbar tool first and neither worked so I panicked. But I just got back from Ace hardware, got the proper screwdriver for the job per your recommendations and I am happy to report mission accomplished! I must say its a great feeling to know I have a responsive and knowledgable safety net here at TRF! It's Saturday night and I'm no longer trapped, so cheers to all!

Did you use loctite on the threads? If not this issue will happen again or worse yet, you could lose or damage the watch if it falls off of your wrist

I have read every post 3 times an I have no idea what the issue was...
A pin next to the fold over clasp came out now he can't open the clasp?

And if this is possible...what a horrible design...whatever it is.

Mickey, If you look at the OP's picture you'll see the screw that secures the last link to the clasp has started to unthread itself and the end is now protruding out to the right (look just above the top of the clasp on the right side). When this happens you can't fully open the locking latch that holds the clasp shut. The side wall of the latch will hit the screw before it opens fully.
