LV mark up?

I was at one of my local AD's in Orange County,Ca this evening and saw a D series LV for over $9,000 including tax. Has anyone seen such a mark up for a pre-owned LV?

Pre-owned? They must have switched price tags by accident. Wow.

They sell for $6700 Canadian brand new in Toronto.

I asked about a discount when I was in the market for my SD, but I didn't push for the watch as I wasn't really interested in it, but I believe a discount could be had if I pushed for a cash deal.

$9,000 is an aweful lot for a SS LV Sub new or used. At that price, I'd move over to a new TT Blue Sub and feel a lot better about the purchase.

I specifically asked twice if that was the correct price. My wife and I were shocked. Needless to say, we left the store without the watch.

At that price, I expect them to throw in one of those leather RSC service pouches. With a DateJust in it.

Crazy price. The watch is readily available worldwide at slightly below MRSP. Would be interesting to know if there is a reason why he has it priced so high ?? Robbing Git !!

It cannot be real. I was at my AD yesterday where I got my LV. The LV will be in production in 2008 as well... I got a new catalog fra the AD. LV is there. The old GMTII and TT Oyster P. (ND) are gone.

I've been to a few T's that sell pre-owned LV's for $8750...sounds ridiculous, but apparently they feel they can charge that much

9 K for a preowned LV is outrageous! But in principal, AD's can set their prices as they like, even with BNIB Rolex watches. Question is how many they would sell, though, and I don't think they will ever sell an LV for that price.

That is an amazing markup. My understanding is that they are still producing that model as well. Maybe (as another poster above mentioned) they accidentally switched price tags and it's a mistake. Otherwise we have to start saying things like "what is the world coming to!"

It's Tourneau in the OC right? I remember they wanted to charge $4k for a 4 year old Explorer I.

considering you gave him the opportunity correct what must clearly be a mistake i would erase him from your list. he's a complete moron!

IF that's not a mistake, which it must be, this guy takes outrageous to a new level.

I have seen several advertised in the UK for the equivalent of $5500.

$9,000 seems a little bit optimistic I think.
