Solid gold GMT.

Went to the AD to pick up a couple of straps they had ordered for my Patek 5146 and while there I figured I'd try on the gold GMT again, it was the 116718LN black dial model.

The one they had is pretty case worn and the AD offers it to me for 25% off as they were about to send it back. Had it not had a scratch in the gold on the bezel triangle I would be wearing it now .

I think I am going to be trying to set up a deal with a TRF trusted seller soon, I love the weight of this watch.

As someone who just received one from a trusted TRF seller, I can tell you that you can get an even better deal for a near mint peice. Goodluck!

awesome in solid gold. i've never seen it in person.

i'd imagine under light it's pretty shiny, no under the radar with that one... what's it like wearing it at a bar?

I really love this watch, my small collection does not include any solid gold.

I am torn between this one or the new YMII as my next purchase

If you're ready to buy now, I'd get the 116718 for near the same amount. If you still have to save, then maybe get the SS YM2 when prices eventually come down and put off the YG.

Ok, so I was running this morning thinking about the GMT and I was wondering if I had too many Rolex already and should consider an AP instead, any GMT YG owners also have a gold or rose gold AP?

Purchased mine a little over $15kUSD, however, they can be found mint, complete, preowned for no more than $20kUSD.

One of my favorite Rolex timepieces in my humble collection! ;-)

Posting for the gent that asked about the green dial!

Of course you're right. It's just the acquisition order. The AD for AP in the Bay Area is complete garbage they have maybe 1-2 ever in the store and they're complete bastards.

Thanks Chaching. I was curious also. I find the all gold D.D. to be too much bling but the gold GMT with ceramic bezel looks great.

It sure does! It looks awesome and not too crazy either. The polished PCLs do pop in certain light. It's just an amazing watch! Gold Fever!!!!
