Calling this watch Batman is an insult to the beautiful watch that it is.
You don't see Pateks or any other high end watches been called nicknames like Rolex users name their watches. |

I think it is the youth here that have a fetish for cartoons. What's up with this "Batman" stuff? Does naming watches after cartoon/comic book characters make my red and blue GMT the Superman?

And naming a watch after soft drinks (Coke, Pepsi) is not worse or better indeed, it is just an humorous way for WISs to nickname their beloved watches. |

I do prefer the blue/black insert to the all black one, but as a GMT collector, I haven't warmed up to the new ceramics and don't see me getting one any time soon.

and the model group it belongs...I dislike it when i hear Paul Newman or Steve McQueen Or patrizzi dial or jan Claude Killy or what ever other name is given to watches by auctioneers and sellers so they can cash-in by naming their goods with the name of a favorite athlete, ex governor, actor, drink, diving co. etc. On the other hand it is funny to see the names people baptize with most sport Rolex watches. Anyway The new blue/black ceramic bezel Rolex GMT ...is already a future classic |

Let`s not use this thread to criticise a name people has used just for fun. There are bigger problems
Cheers! |
