Really? Reported..
I was given this as a "spoof" award after falling overboard in front of the Yacht club, in full view and my watch filled with water.. It does look impressive however and has drawn numerous comments on my wealth and bling factor on the few occasions that I have worn it. I am afraid it looks far too ostentatious for me. It is an automatic, self winding movement. The crown screws down and the bezel rotates like a real divers watch .However I do not believe it is really waterproof, just looks that way. It has a remarkably smooth ticking action on the second hand and there is a tiny engraved mark on the glass at 6 o-clock, too small to photograph. Keeps good time as long as it is worn, and hence wound. The GMT pointer moves at half the rate of the minute hand when it is turned by the crown / winder so that you can keep track of GMT should you wish to for some reason. As I say, looks a million dollars, but definitely NOT a divers watch. It is all stainless and has no scratches on the glass - only worn a few times as I said. No case or anything else I'm afraid. No idea what it is worth, but since I shall never use it, start at £0.99 with no reserve. Will post, but more than welcome to collect from Norwich area if you want to buy as a Christmas present for someone. |
