Incoming!!!

Just got delivered to the office...

Needed a daily back-up for the Rolexes and decided to pick up a Damasko DC56. Must admit, I'm pretty impressed with the piece. Love the style and wanted a Chrono. I don't call these beaters because... well... I don't beat on my goods, but it will serve duty for sure.

Yes, it's a leather strap with some white stitching. I'm going to put on an Olive Zulu later tonight. That's my original intension but the leather straps not bad. I'm liking it.

Thanks, Christopher. She sure does feel like a tank. Very German. It'll serve me well... Exactly what I was looking for. Also love the 40mm size. Anything over 41mm tends to look too big. My Sub is jealous.

Haha, I really didn't think about it, that I took that pic with it rested on my "reminder" pad...

I'm pretty old school with writing stuff down.

Love Damasko. They're an innovative brand to say the least, and a bargain for what you get.

Throw up a wrist shot when you can

Already selling it? Mind me asking what you don't like about it? I have the Damasko DC56 black on my radar but it looks like it might be a little thick for 40mm diameter & I'd expect to see a 22mm lug width rather than a 20mm for this size watch.

I'm thinking about keeping it.

The style and build quality of the watch warrants the thicker case IMO... It works and although this was an earlier concern for me as well, once I got it in hand and on the wrist, it was fine. It has a militant, survival, wrist presence which I love. It's a German tank. Heavy too. No doubt a high-quality piece and very reasonably priced.

I'm also okay with the 20mm lug width because it's a common strap size and I have a great looking 20mm Olive Zulu I can put on. I also think the 40mm case is perfect. I prefer 40mm and below. My larger watch days are over. Now I just need to decide if I'm going to keep it or not.

The reason why I don't like the piece may sound totally ridiculous, but last week I fell ill and every time I looked at the piece I got nausea really bad. There were a few other objects in the house that were causing the same awful feeling. I think that the busy dial was doing it. Strangest damn thing. Now when I look at it I feel fine.
