Stauer Watches ???

Has anyone ever actually bought a watch from Stauer? I have seen them in magazines and found a few others on TRF that made posts regarding these watches. They seem like a legit company....

Yea... The "hybrid" watch? The only watch that does not require gas? Saw those ads in mags.. Never made much sense..

Interesting, but the case is listed as "alloy". Not sure what that is. I kinda like the Titanium Atomic. They also have automatics.

Reminds me of those "sea monkeys" you could buy in magazines when I was a kid. Just add water and you'd have a nice family of sea monkeys. I think they were actually dehydrated shrimp or something similar.

Call me skeptical but I wouldn't count on it being a quality product. Maybe someone will prove me wrong. It seems to happen fairly often, lol.

A Seiko would be a better buy...

Yes, I have a Stauer. It's a beautiful watch, but is very inaccurate.
I still enjoy wearing it out to dinner because it's a very classy looking watch.
Here it is:

Isn't this the company that runs those magazine ads with lots of text about how the Swiss watch industry doesn't want you to know about them and all that?

Think I saw them in Sky Mall once.

This from another thread about Stauer - http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?p=3824375

Why didn't I get a free pair of sunglasses with my Rolex?

Steel at a guess.
