Air King 3-6-9 numbers and markers coloured?
Hi all
A few years ago I think I tried on an Air King with the 3-6-9 dial format where the 3-6-9 is coloured as were the stick markers. Can't quite remember but I think it had a silver dial and the numbers were coloured salmon/pink with the stick markers blue or might have been the other way around! Can't seem to find it, am I imagining this or does it exist? Thanks for your help - pictures would be great I've become comfortable with smaller sized watches so was thinking of adding an Air King to my collection |

They were bright orange, not salmon or pink. Both orange dials were discontinued years ago. I haven't seen one in an AD since 2010.

The more I see of the Air King, the more I like it! What a great looking watch wih so many variations. I can totally see this being my next Rolex! I need to get to the AD and start trying them on. It will get dangerous for my wallet once I start doing that!

The white dial with black 369 is sublime. I've seen a few out and about, and in my opinion, it's the one to get

Not to hijack the thread at all, but I'm curious to find out if a G serial Air-King would have the L.E.C. on the sapphire?

I like your dial combo. I think it was the right choice.

This is the one that I bought my wife. I was going to resize it every once in a while so that I can wear it as well, but I was too used to 39mm watches and I find it kinda hard to wear a 34mm. But my wife happily wears my watches with ease...

I think the best looking for that style is the Oyster Perpetual with the black 3-6-9 dial & pink markers. I'm a guy who's not against a little bit of pink here & there, & I've thought of picking that one up for awhile now, but I'm too worried that my wife might abduct & adopt it!
:edit: To add, it's not really about the size for me, as I have Air Kings in my collection, but what I prefer about the OP version of these models is that all the markers have luminous, and not just the sticks. (pic lifted off the net)

I like the pink color on both the AK and OP
I'm really sad Rolex dropped so many OP and AK dials. Those concentric a were nice and fun but apparently sold badly. I guess the average Rolex customer didn't want "fun" haha
