What GMT?

Hi! Now, that I have convinced my significant other that I really NEED a GMT watch I would appreciate your help:

- I have a green Sub (Hulk) and a white Daytona, both in steel.
- I think a Rolex GMT would be great but there are so many other brands outthere

Question: Is there any other GMT you would suggest that compares to the Rolex GMT?

Thanks!

A BLNR would compliment your LV nicely. Lots of color in the two and staying in the steel category

Not for me, BLNR would be perfect here.

The LN is my favorite, but you can't go wrong with the BLNR.

No convincing required. It is simply a fact. YOU MUST DO THIS. YOU NEED THIS. IT SHALL BE DONE.

Of course I need one. :) Still trying my best resisting a third Rolex. Is there any other brand that offers a better GMT watch? I looked into JLC, Omega (aqua terra chrono gmt and seamaster gmt), Blancpain...

I NEED :) a sport, steel bracelet GMT. :)

I'd pick the TT GMT IIC to make your collection more diverse. As for GMT models of other brands, IMHO nothing can beat Rolex there, it makes no sense to consider any alternatives. Just my $0.02.

The thing to think of on a Rolex GMT is that you can have three watches in one. A black insert, then a Pepsi Insert, and a Coke Insert. How much better does it get than that?

I'm a big GMT fan. Any of them are nice. I prefer a Rolex though

IMHO, the GMT II C whether you decide on the LN or BLNR, is the best SS GMT function watch you can buy under 10k. Now if you need to tell the time in two different time zones and are interested in spending a "little" more, I think the PP 5131G will allow you to track the time in a couple of places.

LN is very basic, but something you do not have! I think go LN for the all black look.

Agreed. I like the black bezel and the little touch of green.

There are plenty of other Dual-time watches.. Cellini has also recently entered the game with a killer version, although a bit pricey.

I wear a Ulysse Nardin Dual-Time quite often.

I really like the UN line but the resale can be horrendous compared to Rolex so make sure you like it.

I would most likely stick with Rolex and as a GMT nut I like them all and have most

I love GMT watches. And I really dislike the BLNR. I see it as a big fuss about a new thing. People may actually like it, but I don't care. It looks wrong to my eye.

I have the LN and looking to trade it for a TT. Beautiful watch IMO.

I personally think there is lot of crossover between subC and gmtiiC (less so with you since you have the hulk), so I am saying exp ii black face.

BLNR it's such a great watch it can be fun, serious, or tool all in one. Good luck but you can't go wrong with a Rolex GMT.

Rolex has the best GMT watches around. I am a fan of the BLNR, I love the blue ceramic. There are so many color choices if you go older, as said above. Can't go wrong with any.

In terms of functionality, you will find many different watches that serve the purpose well. But not all are equally beautiful in one's eye. Take your time, do your homework and enjoy watch porn starring GMT. Soon enough you'll find the one that drives you crazy, then you will know.
Considering your present collection, I recommend you the iconic GMT II 16710 LN, a true classic and as versatile as it can be. Other members, like Dan P., can show you amazing pics of the many faces of this watch.

Enjoy the hunt.
