White Gold hands and markers: when did they start?
I've seen vintage Rolexes with badly corroded hands. Are those steel? I wouldn't expect white gold to corrode much. When did Rolex start using white gold hands and markers?

Some time in the 70's Rolex started the change over. Back then the T Swiss T had a - at both ends for steel and a o at both ends for gold.

The funny thing is that even the painted hands on Explorer II polar are in white gold ... or so I was told. :)
