Daytona EverRose Gold with Choc Dial Ceramic

I am very close to buying a Daytoma Ceramid Rose Gols
With chocolate dial on strap

Is there anything I should be aware of or concerned with? Anything I need to know? How big a Deal is strap vs. bracelet?

I am buying brand new from AD who has one in stock. Do precious metals hold value way less than ss?

PLEASE POST ANY AND ALL PIX OF ROSE DAYTONA ON STRAP (choc dial preferred)

Thanks,
Mike

This is my absolutely favourite Daytona but in threads about Daytonas it never seems to get a mention. Not sure why because it rocks . Unfortunately for me I have yet to see one in the flesh despite searching various ADs. The missus saw one in the window of an AD in London the other day and said it looked the b*ll*cks. The best in the window she reckoned. You will defo lose money buying brand new from an AD though. In the UK they are £19.6k RRP but are readily available on the grey market brand new for about £14.5k and I have seen DavidSW sell them brand new on here for $20k which is about £12k in pounds. If I could get one for £12k I'm pretty sure I would go for it (but can't from David SW due to import tax), but I would need to sell my white faced SS to do it which would hurt but for some reason I'm not massively attached to my SS.

One of the things I like about it over my current SS Daytona (apart from it looking absolute class) is there are less things to scratch. I'm quite anal and protective over all the polished bits on my SS, the PCLs and the bezel. Where as this has the leather strap and ceramic bezel, so nothing to worry about there, so I think i could relax a bit more and enjoy wearing it a bit more. Also its not full gold so not too 'in your face' like some full gold models (no offense to any full gold owners).

I would go for it if I were you but perhaps enquire with some trusted sellers on here first before splashing full RRP. Is your AD offering any discount on this model?

Let us know what you decide and pics if you go ahead

Come on, lets see some pics from current owners and some wrist shots.
In fact can we make this a 116515 appreciation thread

Absolutely love this combo, it is gorgeous and I've considered it myself and my only concern is that I'd want a bracelet on it later on. How hard and how much would it be to order a rose gold bracelet for it?

Here's some awesome pics.

I'm sure I read somewhere that a rose gold bracelet can't be fitted to this watch due to the end-links that are permanently attached to the watch. I stand to be corrected on that though

The rose gold bracelet won't fit.

There is a huge well known issue with this watch.
Whenever you wear it pure unadulterated awesomeness ensues, and men and woman alike will ogle your wrist in adoration. TRF's will demand pictures of this watch daily. It has been code named The Python because once it gets a hold of your wrist, it will not come off. Attempting to ascertain the time is futile on this watch, upon sighting your wrist and looking at the dial, you will be repeatedly hypnotised by it's precious beauty and forget why you looked at your wrist in the first place, this cycle is repeated until you are habitually late and resort to using your phone for time measurement.

By at your own risk.

I was seriously looking at this watch as I loved the chocolate and everose combo and in the ADs it sure does shine, but in most pics I've seen and in normal light the dial is pretty dark and hard to read so I went with the DDII choco dial with a lighter, easier to read dial and ofc the glorious President bracelet.

If you do buy this new you need at least 20% off as preowned this falls off pretty sharply as said. I would wear it carefully with stickers all on for a few days and see how the dial looks in real life to make sure you can live with it. And no a bracelet cannot be fitted to it.

Great looking, in my opinion.
Not so easy to move in the secondary market though, so hopefully a keeper.

To me it's a great looking stunning Rolex. Not having a bracelet is a negative for me but here is a great solution I had not thought about.

I recently purchased this watch with the ivory dial. I thought I wanted the chocolate dial but after seeing one in person at the AD I decided ivory was for me. The chocolate dial was hard for me to read in anything but bright light. Beautiful piece but just not for me. I got the ivory dial from DavidSW NIB at a substantial discount to MSRP. The best I could get from the AD was a 10% discount and that was with buying a BLNR from him the same day.

This is my favorite Daytona, also, but as others have mentioned, I would want it on a rose gold bracelet, which is not available. It's OK...I will wait.

I would have bought this a long time ago if it had a bracelet. Biggest concern with buying one? You'll suffer from gold fever.

One of my favorites. However, the dial is definitely dark.

Beautiful watch, but like a lot of gold watches the resale is not as good as SS. But if you really love it , it won't matter ; just make sure to get a good deal

Prefer Daytona with ivory dial than Choc . Easy to read and i prefer stick hour marker than number.

Amazing looking watch, but the no bracelet option is a war stopper for me. It seems like they can be had for some pretty good discounts, though, so if you like it go for it. Congrats in advance!

It is very disappointing to hear that a bracelet isn't possible for this watch.

I absolutely love the Ceramic daytona! I've come close numerous times on buying one. I opted for a yg gmt because of the bracelet, this daytona did inspire me to put on the rubber b.

Gorgeous watch...the dial does appear a little darker in person. I feel that on a strap the Daytona wears a little smaller than on a bracelet. Just my opinion. But it is a great piece.

This is an amazing Daytona. I tried it on a couple weeks back. I was set on getting a SS black dial, but after seeing this one in person. WOW! This is the next Rolex I buy.

I actually don't mind the black gator strap, especially since it's got a RG locking clasp like the SubC. It's a combo of all the colors. The black gator compliments the black numerals on the dial. I'm not sure a RG bracelet would match it well. I also tried on a RG black dial Daytona and didn't like it.

Bummer that you can't replace the gator with an actual bracelet. Is this 100% confirmed?

I would personally never buy a leather strap daytona, or day date etc......part of the fun of owning a gold rolex is owning an all gold rolex with the beefy oyster bracelet or the refined president...however if thats what floats your boat and you can't get the ceramic with solid bracelet its a great choice!!

I would agree with you, but on this particular model it just makes it have an old-fashioned feel. Very classy watch.

I agree, How many precious metal Pateks come on leather. You don't need a bracelet every time, like this watch and like the rose gold Skydweller. They look very elegant on leather.

I'm not the biggest fan of Everose gold (I like it, it's just not my style) but this watch may be an exception. The combination of black leather, black ceramic, rose gold, and chocolate dial just add up to a really classy-looking time piece.
